Overview
Challenge
Family memories are scattered across devices and platforms, making them hard to organize and even harder to preserve for the future. The challenge was to create a seamless way for families to keep their photos, stories, and documents safe and accessible.
Objective
Design a user-friendly platform where families can securely store, organize, and share memories - ensuring they remain meaningful and easy to revisit across generations.

For this project, the user persona was provided by the client, outlining target demographics, behaviors, and goals. My role was to analyze these details and translate them into design decisions, ensuring the product aligned with both user needs and the client’s vision.

The Outcome
Preserve provided families with a trusted home for their memories. With its gallery, albums, and family tree, it transformed scattered media into meaningful stories that could be passed down for generations. The platform became more than storage - it became a legacy keeper.

Each family member has a personal album featuring a folder view that shows quick previews and media summaries.
A media count indicator displays how many photos, videos, and audio files are inside each folder.
All uploaded memories are stored in a central library, keeping photos, videos, and audio organized in one place.
Browse your memories using the timeline slider, which lets users explore moments chronologically and relive life’s journey.
Impact & Reflection
Impact
Preserve created a single, trusted space where families could securely store and share their most meaningful memories. By simplifying organization and access, the platform helped reduce the risk of losing photos and documents across scattered devices. Early feedback showed that users valued the ease of use, security, and family-centered design, which increased adoption among both younger and older generations.
My Learnings
Designing for a multi-generational audience meant balancing modern UI with simplicity. Features like clear navigation, large touch points, and straightforward onboarding made the platform accessible to both tech-savvy youth and elderly family members.
